The lists are endless, and some stories we have been hearing about would make you not want to leave your house! With all our talk about great hospitality, there are some real Basil Faulty experiences going on in hotels as we speak. My fear is that with all the cut backs and price reductions, the service and product delivery is just going to get shoddier. We have seen the signs already. Hotel breakfasts are not what they once were. Fresh fruit salads and warm baked breads are disappearing and the dreaded Bain Marie pays host to tired basic breakfast staples. Eggs Benedict or a freshly made omellette are but a dream these days, or else you will pay a large supplement for one in some five star hotels. |
