The D4 Berkeley Hotel is both a contemporary Dublin hotel offering luxury at affordable rates, and also an historic icon on the Irish hospitality scene. In it's former glory as the Berkeley Court Hotel, this was a favourite hotel for the wealthy and famous, visiting VIPs and serious corporate business meetings. I remember seeing quite a few famous faces there over the years, and Afternoon Tea was an institution rarely matched in other Irish hotels.
Times change and life's fortunes go up and down and we have seen many changes in the last couple of years. A recent visit to D4 Berkeley was a very pleasant experience and I could feel how this hotel was beginning to reclaim the shine and polish of yesteryear, allbeit with a contemporary twist.
The hotel retains the style and graciousness of the large ground floor reception area, but with a modern twist. Thought has been put into the decor and amenities to make it attractive to both business and leisure users. Weddings and conferences are popular here, and with the super new Aviva Stadium recently opened just two minutes down the road - this hotel is certain to be buzzing well into the future.
