The town of Gorey in County Wexford is great for shopping and now since it has been by-passed on the N11 Dublin to Rosslare road, it is so much easier to get about. In the centre of town, close to both the train station and the new Shopping Centre, is the lovely Amber Springs Hotel. It was a very cold winter day when we arrived and we were soon so snug and settled in that were reluctant to go back outside!

ACCOMMODATION AT AMBER SPRINGS

Our room was on the third floor overlooking the main entrance and car park. We had lots of space, two very comfortable beds, and a bathroom with the greatest water-pressure in the shower! We had tea and coffee making facilities, good quality bathrobes and slippers, large desk area, plenty of mirrors and wardrobe space and a perfect sized television on the wall. There was also a tempting room-service menu available throughout the day, however we were saving ourselves for dinner!

The room was both warm and bright and well insulated from any noise. We settled in for the afternoon with the weekend papers and managed to get some work done on the laptop before it was time to get ready to go down to dinner.
