The Blue Haven Hotel is a perfect choice when deciding where to stay while visiting the historic seaside town of Kinsale. It is a small boutique hotel where you are made feel welcome and looked after superbly.
When I pulled up outside the hotel late for a meeting, the lady at reception went out and purchased a parking ticket for me while I went straight to my appointment! Later I was directed to free parking nearby, and my stay was very comfortable, convenient and interesting. Everything was within walking distance, from the quirky shops and laneways to the harbour, the wine museum and Desmond Castle.
My bedroom was lovely, it looked out over the main road and had a window seat and colourful flower boxes. The bed was heavenly, robes, internet access and chocolates were all included as was tea and coffee making facilities and a proper iron and ironing board. While the room was compact, there was working space, mirrors, antique furniture and a real sense of comfort.
