Myself and my husband booked the regency airport hotel in Dublin for a weekend on the 5th December.
When we arrived at the hotel we parked the car in the car park and walked to the hotel. Booked in and went to our room.
We booked an executive suite which was an additional 30 euro per night. Therewas nothing executive about the room, it was to have a professional hair dryer and a flat screen TV. The TV was in cabinet and was quiet small. The window on the bedroom was broken and we told them that we weren't happy with it. They changed us to a family room. This room was a bit better.
The walls were very thin and we could hear people going up and down the corridor during the night. We were woken 6 times on Friday night, we had booked dinner in the restaurant for 7pm on Saturday night with reception and when we arrived at the hotel restaurant they said that they had no booking for us, we told the girl that we had booked dinner on the Friday evening and that we wanted to be seated. She took us to a table. again on Saturday night we were woken 4 times in the end we were so mad that we checked out of the hotel at 4.30 am and drove back home to Galway. We were very disappointed as we had gone away for a relaxing weekend and were kept awake. They also charged us 20 euro for the 2 nights for the car park, I was disgusted because any hotel we have stayed in we were never charged for parking our car. Myself and my husband have said we would never stay there again or recommend it to any of our friends.

Just back as a family of four from a brief two night stay at the Carlton Hotel,Kinsale,County Cork. This was a fully enjoyable experience, excellent value for money and was a rare find in that the staff –without exception-were extremely helpful and hospitable.
The food was first class and plentiful, the service equally good and we gained the impression that nothing was too much trouble-even my younger son's quite impressive rod- caught cod was happily accommodated in the hotel's freezer for the night before our departure-and without a qualm.
This is also an extremely clean and comfortable place to stay and as far as we're concerned one we can unreservedly recommend.

I just got married recently and had my reception in the Hamlet Court Hotel Enfield Co. Meath. My brother and my sister also had their wedding receptions there, and I have to say I have never been treated so well and our whole day went without a hitch. The wedding planners Mo, Trish and John were absolutely brilliant, nothing was a problem no matter how big or small all the little extra's that they did on the day really made a difference and it was like I was the only ever bride to have had my wedding reception there, we were made to feel so special.
The food, well what can I say absolutely fab, the service was brilliant and everyone so friendly and helpful.
So if I was to recommend anywhere to anyone for the wedding reception, go check out The Hamlet you wont be disappointed.

My husband and I are just back from a two night break in the Ballygarry House Hotel, Tralee.
As it was our Anniversary we went all out and booked the Wedding Anniversary Package, where you get two nights B&B and one evening meal, including €50 towards a treatment in the Nadur Spa. The superior room we booked was absolutely beautiful, well decorated and very clean, and had added touches like chocolates and a thought for the day on your pillow when you return from your day out. The Staff were excellent, well trained and very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. There was a wedding on each night that we stayed and we never heard a sound from them, the hotel is so well laid out that they keep guests separate from wedding guests and therefore everyone is happy!
We ate both nights in the Restaurant and the food was excellent, a good range, and very well presented. The gardens are beautiful for a stroll after all the food and you can relax in any of the sitting rooms or in the bar where there is usually a piano player.
I went for a 'maternity massage', which was well wanting as I am expecting my third baby! The Nadur Spa is the most relaxing place that you could go, the staff again very well trained and friendly, the whole experience was money well spent. The added bonus for all you shoppers is the Manor West Retail Park which is less than a five minute drive where you could definitely spend a full day.
We hope to be back.
