WINE OF THE MONTH

Moving to a great red wine this month, we have chosen one of our favourite grapes - the delicate Pinot Noir.  Our choice is a 2008 Reserva from Veramonte which comes from the Casablanca Valley of Chile.  It is a luxurious silky wine with floral aromas and earthy fruity flavours.  Perfect to enjoy with light meat, chicken and fish suppers.
Look out for this label, and check wine lists when ordering different dishes and looking for a good wine that will compliment most foods.

Email us now! and tell us why you would love to try a bottle of this wine!  Some winery details to follow:

Veramonte is part of a small group of wineries owned by Agustin Huneeus, a native of Chile who previously developed the Caliterra and Errazuriz brands. Hunees also owns the Quintessa winery in Napa, but of morre interest to most consumers is his passionfor Chile's Casablanca Valley. This pristine grape-growing region had almost no vineyards when he first explored in the early 1990s, but has quickly become known around the world, especially for its racy white wines.
Veramonte is headquartered there, with 1,100 acres of grapes farmed sustainably. Since they were introduced a decade ago, wines from this property have shown steady improvement while maintaining their bargain pricing.
