We recommend the best hotels for your family holiday; business conference; romantic, leisure, activity or gourmet break. For the past twenty years I have written for a number of national and international publications on travel, food and wine. I have edited and contributed to magazines such as Wine Ireland, Food & Wine Magazine, Intermezzo, Cuisine, Abroad and Irish Connections. I have also worked for newspapes, television and radio on these subjects. I have been a guest of Tasting Australia a number of times and a judge on their prestigous World Food Media Awards. I have been an judge at the Blas na hEireann food awards. I have been a presenter at Hospitality Expo at the RDS in 2008 and again in 2010. Throughout the years I have been a guest in many excellent hotels throughout the world and have witnessed the development of the hospitality industry here at home. With this background in journalism and hospitality, I set up Hotel Reviews Ireland in late 2005, and with a professional team throughout the country, we have been growing rapidly and developing new products to suit the industry. We can offer hotelliers a "Silent Shopper" or "Mystery Shopper" service to provide a detailed quality audit of their property from the guests' viewpoint. We have years of experience visiting and reviewing some of the top hotels in the world, both big brand chains and smaller independently owned properties. We believe the time is right to sift through the growing number of accommodation choices in Ireland today, and offer the visitor a critics choice of the best properties. We know that in Ireland today along with the bigger hotel chains, there are many smaller independently run hotels that deserve an opportunity to showcase their excellent product. At Hotel Reviews Ireland we aim to do just that. We believe that food tourism, where the visitor experiences the real taste of the region, is a growing focus for many visitors, and here at Hotel Reviews Ireland we place a very high priority on the food served in our chosen hotels. Accordingly, we applaud the hotels that offer locally produced ingredients in creative modern and traditional dishes. While we prioritize food, we also place great emphasis on Spa quality, as world-class destination spas are now a feature of many of our top accommodation choices. Golf, fishing, arts, shopping, and other leisure pursuits in the vicinity of our chosen hotels are also highlighted. With growing numbers of professional women travelling alone, we also note hotels that are sensitive to their comfort and safety. And for all business travellers, we look for easy broadband access, preferably free, in our selected properties. Our team of discerning reviewers combine expertise in Human Resources, Tourism and Journalism to provide reviews and reports that offer valuable insight for hotelliers and guests alike. As Managing Director of Hotel Reviews Ireland, I would like to invite you to give me your views on any hotels that you have stayed in both at home and abroad.
